Join Sheri for a demonstration about how connection-based experiential sessions with horses help heal trauma. Sheri will show how she applies the Polyvagal Theory developed by Dr. Stephen Porges to help her workshop participants understand their fight, flight, and freeze responses, how to anchor themselves and their horses in well-being, and how to experience healthy connection in their horse and human relationships.
Sheri resides in Boulder, Montana, and is a certified experiential education practitioner offering transformative equine-assisted learning, horsemanship coaching, and therapy through her business, Heart Connections Horsemanship, LLC. She is a mother, grandmother, and retired professional who also enjoys trail riding and horseback archery. Sheri is a dedicated practitioner of Polyvagal Therapy, a groundbreaking approach to healing developed by Dr. Stephen Porges. Drawing inspiration from Porges' Polyvagal Theory and Deb Dana's work in "Anchored: How to Befriend your Nervous System Using Polyvagal Theory," Sheri has crafted a unique and transformative approach to wellness.
Studied with Masters:I've had the privilege of studying with exceptional mentors, including Federic Pignon and Magali Delgado (Cavalia), Karen Rohlf (Dressage Naturally), Caroline Beste (The Tao of Horsemanship), Carolyn Resnik, Warwick Schiller, Linda Tellington Jones, and Dr. Stephen Peters, a distinguished neuroscientist and horseman. Each mentor has contributed valuable insights, enriching my understanding of intuitive horsemanship.
Heart Connections Horsemanship: I founded Heart Connections Horsemanship with a vision to make transformative tools accessible to you. Through thoughtfully designed programs, horses become guides on your journey of self-discovery. They help reveal the authentic self by shedding limiting beliefs, allowing you to establish healthy mind-body-spirit connections and move powerfully forward on your personal and professional path.
