Cole Cameron was born in Arizona and raised between ranches in New Mexico and Texas. He is son to the legendary Hall of Fame Cowboy, Craig Cameron. Cole has the western way of life in his blood.
He was always a top student and a highly gifted athlete, competing in three sports throughout high-school. His achievements in football earned Cole a scholarship to play at Texas A&M University. Upon graduating with his Bachelors of Science in agriculture, he decided to pursue a graduate degree.
While completing his Masters at Texas A&M, he earned a rodeo scholarship and spot on the team. Cole competed on the Texas A&M Rodeo Team for two years and both years he was invited to the College National Finals Rodeo (CNFR) in Casper, Wyoming.
Cole has worked with some of the top horse trainers over his many years in the industry as well as competed in multiple disciplines including cutting, team roping, and reined cow horse. Cole regularly is invited as a clinician to expos including the Tennessee Horse Expo, Equine Affaire (Ohio & Massachusetts), Midwest Horse Fair, Michigan Horse Expo, South Dakota Horse Expo, and Equidays of New Zealand. In the past year, Cole has traveled to three countries and ten US States conducting horsemanship clinics. He continues to travel nationally and internationally, teaching the gentle horsemanship method that has been passed down from father to son. When Cole isn’t on the road, he is managing his family’s ranch in Bluff Dale, Texas where he and his father train horses, host horsemanship clinics, and maintains a cattle operation.
Cole is the 2021 Road to the Horse Wild Card Champion, 2023 Road to the Horse Reserve World Champion, and a 5-time EXCA World Champion along with many other awards and accomplishments. At the 2022 EXCA World Championship, Cole claimed the Pro Division World Championship which secured his entry into the 2023 Calgary Stampede Cowboy Up Challenge. He competes regularly in NRCHA, SHTX (Stock Horse of Texas) and East Texas Stock Horse Association events.
Cole takes great pride in following in his legendary father’s footsteps by helping people worldwide develop great horses and horsemanship skills.
